GAMES DESCRIPTION
UFO was realised in ECS for the floppy version (5 disks), AGA on floppy
(4 disks!?!) and the CD32 game (5.17megs).
The AGA version is almost identical, only difference are NonVolatile
saves, joypad non vital additions, intro and autonames typing.
The game dont works fine with CD32 emulators on amiga, it quits, and
dont want to save more than one time.
The game works a lot better when used installed on amiga, and lightly
modified!!!!!
Ufo CD32 supports 3 languages by menu, not CD32 system:
English, German, French.
It can be played by mouse, or joypad (it uses a simple mouse emulator+some
enhancements).
The game take A LOT OF BLOCKS to save.
Ufo is a great great strategy game, but really really too slow on CD32!
FastMem incredibly speed up the game.
Easy to learn (you dont even need to read the doc!). It is very interresting!
you are the world organization that
must learn and destroy UFO attacks! most of the time, the game is the
team that should destroy all ennemies.
That happens when you crash an UFO after seeking him with your interceptor,
or when they terrorize a town.
Very detailled, you control a lot of elements in the game! You got
a cool Ufopedia that growns with your discoveries.

The aerial combat, not really cool! all is pretty automatic! u just have to choose between close, standar or agressive attack, follow him, leave him, or see him. missiles are fired automatically when the UFO comes to the limit... if you crash an UFO on lands, you should send your team to destroy the alien and stole technology. |

First step, game got a complex gestion of heights, so your move cursor is showing that your are a level up from the destination. This operation is in Africa, so you are in desert |

The map of what you explored, you can see 7 soldiers in the skyranger, the UFO, and Frank Sharped, almost dead, the white dot next to the UFO. He was shot by an unknown fire from left down side |

I sended Sarah, the red [1] on the right down side, is indicating that she is seeing an alien! I click on it to see it too, and now choose a way to fire with the weapon on the right hand. The ways are almost all the same for all weapons... only details change. The % are the chances to shoot, TU stands for Time Unit. In fact, auto shoot fires 4 times... and throwing your cool fusil to the alien is stupid... |
